"Beauty and the Beast" POSTPONED
Due to technical difficulties with their set, Cohoes Music Hall had to cancel the show on December 3rd. We will make every attempt to re-schedule.

Pig Race set for December 9, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.
The student who sold the highest amount in the Fall Gift Fundraiser in their class, will receive a battery operated pig to decorate and race on December 9th. All students in the race will receive a prize.The student whose pig wins the race, will get an ice cream party for their class. Good Luck to all!
Grades 5&6 help celebrate Mass, St. Joseph's Church
Grades 5&6 will help celebrate mass on Saturday, December 5th at St. Joseph's Church -5:30 p.m. We hope the school community will attend.

Kids Korner Holiday Gift Shoppes December 9th to11th
Students will have an opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts for their family, friends and teachers. It will run from December 9 - December 11th in the Resource Room -1886 building.

Cost: $12.00 per student (Teachers & Chaperones Free)
Ø Everyone will eat lunch in our cafeteria when we return from the show. Chartwwells will serve lunches to students that ordered in advance, and other students are to bring their own lunch as usual.
Ø Students are to wear their uniforms (No Gym Uniforms)
Students must return their permission slip and $12 by Friday, November 13th

Help a Family in Need This Christmas Season!
Each Christmas season, families who are part of our St. Brigid’s School Community, are in need of assistance to make their Christmas memorable and meaningful. As a Christian community, I would like to offer our entire St. Brigid’s community the opportunity to help families in need this Christmas season through our “adopt a family” program. Please consider thoughtfully, how you and your family may help. We are seeking monetary donations and adult volunteers to purchase gifts. Here’s how the “adopt a family” program works:
· Interested staff and families of students in the St. Brigid’s School Community fill out the form below and return it, along with a check (made out to SBRCS Adopt A Family) or gift card, to your child’s teacher by Wednesday, November 18th;
· I will identify families in need within our school community and obtain a list of their Christmas needs and wishes;
· Volunteer shoppers will be given a list of a family’s needs and an amount they can spend based on what has been donated;
· The gifts will be brought to school and wrapped by students in 5-8th grades, then I will deliver the gifts to the families;
· You bask in the glow of giving to a family in need!
I know each and every one of you has other commitments this Christmas season and I appreciate your considering helping others in need. If you have questions about the program, please contact Beth Capitula at 274-2964 or aerobeth@nycap.rr.com.
